Re: Visio now available to U of T community
Dear IT colleagues, We are pleased to announce that staff, students and faculty now have access to a lightweight web-based version of the Visio diagramming tool as part of the University’s agreement with Microsoft. The lightweight version of Visio can be used to create basic flowcharts and other diagrams such as business matrices and process diagrams. It includes core features, over forty-five templates and hundreds of shapes to choose from. Accessing the new lightweight version of Visio Community members can access the lightweight version of Visio as they would any other Microsoft 365 application. Go to mail.utoronto.ca, click on the top left waffle menu and select Visio. Alternatively, select Visio from the list of applications from the University’s online Microsoft 365 portal. Individuals who require advanced Visio features can continue to access paid subscription options through the University’s Licensed Software Office (LSO). Microsoft provides a comparison of the different versions of Visio in this knowledge article. Community members who are interesting in using the new version Visio are invited to attend a Connect+Learn information session on Thursday, January 27. Learn more here. Kind regards, EASI Communications
