Re: Office 365 Connectors (Teams) and M365 Group Connectors (Outlook) Retire
Dear ACE-IT,
Microsoft is retiring the Microsoft Office 365 connectors feature in Microsoft Teams and M365 Group Connectors in Outlook. Office 365 Connectors enable users to integrate third-party services and apps directly into the Office 365 environment. Microsoft 365 Groups connectors deliver notifications and updates from online apps, tools, and services
When a user with an active Office 365 connector posts a message in Teams, a warning about the impending retirement of the connector is included at the bottom. To learn more about retirement and Office 365 & Groups Connectors replacement please check out the knowledge base article.
Retirement timeline
August 5, 2024 – September 5, 2024: Microsoft is retiring M365 Groups connectors for Microsoft Outlook on the web and new Outlook for Windows.
Wave 1 – effective August 15, 2024: All new Office 365 Connector creations will be blocked within all clouds.
Wave 2 – effective October 1, 2024: All Office 365 Connectors within all clouds will stop working.
