Information Technology Services is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of UTime, U of T’s Time and Attendance solution, scheduled for August 3. This application, which will replace Kronos Workforce Central, offers an enhanced user experience, robust timekeeping, advanced scheduling and significantly improved reporting.

Over the past year, the Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration (EASI) team has partnered with the Division of People Strategy, Equity & Culture (PSEC) to implement this solution, and has collaborated with Faculties, divisions and departments across the university.

Benefits of UTime

  • Improved mobile-friendly user interface and navigation, providing easy access to frequently used actions.
  • Improved dataviews and robust reporting, providing standard user-friendly insights that enhance transparency and tracking.
  • Automated notifications that simplify timecard approvals and track employee hours.
  • Enhanced alignment with U of T’s payroll system for improved information delivery and data accuracy.
  • Streamlined and simplified processes for managing, tracking and reporting on employees with multiple assignments.

Training for all Faculty, divisional, and departmental managers has been completed, and the project is in the final stages of preparing the production environment and pre-launch activities with the vendor.
