Re: AMS Temporary Duplicate Document Attachments + System Maintenance on Oct. 18
Dear AMS Users,
As part of ongoing improvements to the Administrative Management System (AMS), U of T is upgrading the platform that stores document attachments in SAP and some related applications. This upgrade is necessary as the current platform is reaching its end of life and must be replaced to ensure continued reliability.
While this upgrade is anticipated to have limited impact on end users, it will support future improved performance while continuing to securely store critical documents, including invoices, purchase orders, service orders, research applications and employee records.
What to expect starting October 18
Please note: Business processes will remain the same – you will continue to upload and view document attachments as you do today, and new attachments uploaded after the upgrade will not be duplicated. During this time, you may also notice minor performance delays when uploading and retrieving document attachments.
Included applications:
- AMS SAP GUI
- Fiori Launchpad Reporting
- Capital Projects Portal
- EvoSuite Applications (EvoOrder, EvoPlan, EvoNotify)
- Invoice Workflow
- SAP Asset Manager Mobile
Planned system outage
To complete this upgrade, AMS and related systems will be unavailable on October 18 from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.
