Further to the communication below, sent on August 20, 2025, we would like to provide an update regarding the upcoming SAP H4S4 upgrade. The deployment of this upgrade, which includes the removal of the calendar views for PA61 (Maintain Time Data), will be delayed until October 4, 2025.
To support the changes to PA61, we are currently developing a modified Fast Entry program that will enable batch updates in time for the October 4 go-live date. Restoring the calendar views for PA61 will not be possible as the existing functionality allowing day-by-day hours to be entered each week has been deprecated by SAP.
The HRIS Training and Support Team will share additional information and guidance to assist with the new process in the coming weeks.

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, our SAP S4HANA system will be upgraded to H4S4 to ensure continued compliance with SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) licensing and support through 2040.
As part of this upgrade, SAP will no longer support the Time Entry – Maintain Time Data (transaction code PA61). Consequently, the following functionalities will be retired:
- Maintain Weekly Entry with Activity Allocation (2052)
- Change Monthly Calendar (2051)
- Change Annual Calendar (2050)
These changes will take effect on September 6, 2025 and below details the update. It is important to note that UTime users will not be impacted by this change.
Current View: Until Saturday, September 6 |
New View: On Saturday, September 6 |
Current view: Users can see Week, Month and Year view for timesheets in PA61 |
New view: Users can no longer see Week, Month and Year views for timesheets; however, they can still use list view to display or delete previously entered time records.

How to Process Time Data in HRIS?
- For multiple time entries for multiple employees, the following Fast Entry Upload program can be used
- For individual time entry, use the Maintain HR Master Data (transaction code PA30) to record an absence or attendance one at a time.
