Word makes creating, editing and sharing documents incredibly easy. You can collaborate on projects with colleagues in real time, and access your documents from anywhere you go.
Office 365’s online version of Word offers the flexibility and convenience of a cloud-based service with the same reliable features as the desktop version. Features include:
- Intelligent writing tools that can make spelling, grammar and stylistic suggestions.
- In-app integration with Office 365 applications such as PowerPoint and Excel.
- The ability to comment and track changes in-app.
Faculty members and administrative staff with appointments of at least 20 per cent can access free downloads of the desktop and mobile versions of Word to use with their personal devices.
Use Word with OneDrive and SharePoint to store all of your documents in one place and to securely share them with colleagues.
Log in to your online Outlook/UTmail+ account and click on the waffle in the top left corner. Select the Word tool.
A downloadable version of Word is available for U of T owned computers through the Microsoft Campus License Agreement. Faculty members, librarians and administrative staff with an appointment of at least 20 percent can download and install Word on up to five personal devices.
The software is available through the Office 365 web interface.
