Hi everyone,

Please note that UCheck, including the self-reporting of rapid screens and the Administrative Dashboard, will be unavailable on Saturday, January 8 from 11:00 p.m. to Sunday, January 9 at 3:00 a.m. (EST) due to scheduled maintenance and upgrades. During this time, faculty, students, and staff will not be able to access UCheck’s health screening.

If you are coming on campus during this time, you can use the paper-based, offline forms at https://www.utoronto.ca/utogether/ucheck to complete a health screening prior to coming onto campus.

ROSI and Other Student Systems Today

Re: ROSI and Other Student Systems Today

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year and welcome back.

All staff and faculty facing student and curriculum systems are operational this morning. If you have any difficulty signing in today after being out of the routine for two or three weeks, please remember to check that you are signed in to the correct VPN (admin.vpn.utoronto.ca) and are using UTORMFA. If you are still using your eToken, please remember that these will be fully retired in February 2022 – make sure to sign up for UTORMFA today.

Please note, most overnight batch procedures, including bank transfers, were suspended during the December break. These will run again today for the first time. Updated data should be available tomorrow morning. Also note, system traffic may be high this week as students check on grades and their current enrolments and possibly make course changes. Because most divisions won’t begin instruction until next week, we are not cautioning against running reports or generating admission letters as we have in other years. However, please be patient while waiting for your reports and downloads. You may want to consult the ESC knowledge base if you haven’t printed to ROSI Files in a while.

We look forward to working with you in 2022!

Update on the Compensation Planning Tool Project

Date:  December 17, 2021
To: B6 Users
From: Planning & Budget Office and Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration
Re: Update on the Compensation Planning Tool Project

For those who currently do compensation planning and budgeting at the University:

As you may be aware, the University has been working to implement a new “made@ U of T” Compensation Planning Tool with improvements to the existing SAP tool (B6). This approach will deliver many of the improvements sought by our financial planning community, while retaining the robust security, performance, and familiar interface of the SAP platform.

We completed our User Acceptance Testing on December 3 with over 80 participants who represented key divisions across all three campuses. Based on testing results and recommendations, the project leadership has determined that the product is ready to be launched.

Training will occur in a train-the-trainer format starting in January 2022, and we will be hosting Connect+Learn sessions to provide a demo. We plan to launch the new tool for the 2022-23 budget planning process in February 2022.

Benefits of the new compensation planning tool include:

  • An improved, intuitive user experience, data analysis and validation that builds on the familiarity of the existing B6 tool.
  • Long-range compensation planning with a six-year planning outlook and salary increase projections.
  • A holistic view of compensation, which expands beyond the current data on appointed staff to include appointed hourly and non-appointed staff.
  • Salary increase scenario planning, which allows divisional users to input long range increase assumptions for various employee groups
  • Simplified compensation projections by automating USW grid step salary increase provision calculations.

Thank you for your input and participation to date.

We look forward to providing you with further updates on the project.
